QA Systems is first Dutch company to join the Eclipse consortium

QA Systems has been unanimously elected to full membership in Eclipse, the software development tools consortium. Eclipse is an open community that implements the Eclipse Platform, an open-source, universal platform for tools integration. The Eclipse Platform has gained broad acceptance since its introduction in November 2001, with over 6.9 million download requests. QA Systems joins 33 other industry leaders on the Eclipse Board, including Borland, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi, IBM, Merant, Rational, Red Hat, and Serena.

QA Systems has been unanimously elected to full membership in Eclipse. As a voting member of the Eclipse Board of Stewards, Wim van de Brug, Managing Director QA Systems, will participate in defining policies, practices, and standards for this open-source initiative.

“We are very pleased to see that more European software companies are becoming active members of the Eclipse organization,” said Skip McCaughey, Chairperson of the Eclipse Board of Stewards. “We believe that QA Systems’ expertise in the Automated Software Quality domain, and their ability to bring software quality measurement and control to the developer’s desktop will contribute significant value to the Eclipse platform ecosystem”.

“We expect that QA Systems’ extensive experience in automated software quality tools and software quality management will be of significant value to the further development of the Eclipse platform. To underline this we have just released the Eclipse integration of QStudio for Java which is our automated software quality control product", said Wim van de Brug, Managing Director at QA Systems.
